ClubMynx currently offers the following stages for pole skill development:
Stage 1: New to Pole Dancing for Fitness? Stage 1 is the perfect setting for participants who are new to this style of sexy dance. In Stage 1 you can expect a 10 min dance warm up, 10 minutes of pole strength training, 30 minutes of pole skill building and 5 minutes of flexibility. A major focus of the class is to build strength, learn to dance with the pole safely, and combine new moves into a sassy new routine. Click Here for more information about what to wear, what to bring and more.
Stage 2: Take your Pole Dancing experience to the next level by learning to sit on the pole in addition to mastering several intermediate level spins. Similar to the previous stage, you can expect a 10 min dance warm up, 10 minutes of pole strength training, 30 minutes of pole skill building and 5 minutes of flexibility. Learn a sexy new routine along with a variety of new moves that you can use to build your own personal combinations. Participants will need to bring “short-shorts” to all classes when learning pole sits.
Caution! It is highly recommended that participants advancing to Stage #3 continue to build their upper body and core strength with additional fitness classes or through pole practice. As the classes (and moves instructed) get more difficult, the level of strength required to complete the moves safely will increase, so doing additional strength training becomes very important!
Stage 3: Bring out your high heels and get ready to “spice things up a bit” with advanced pole spins. Participants will also be introduced to the basic invert – yes you will be flipping upside down in Stage #3! Multiply your confidence, self-esteem and self-image as you begin to master the dancer persona. Participants will need to bring “short-shorts” and high heels to all classes in this stage.
Caution! Stage #4 will introduce participants to advanced moves that they are not expected to master within 6 weeks. It is very common for participants to repeat Stage #3 and #4 several times before feeling completely comfortable with the moves taught. Continue to build total body strength and participate in pole practice times.
Stage 4: Learn to let go of your hands while being upside down on the pole! Also challenge yourself with impressive advanced spins showcasing athleticism and grace. By now participants should feel comfortable with releasing their sexy side through freestyle dancing. NOTE: This class will require participants share poles, and assist other participants with inverted moves.
Stage 5: Stage #5 is suitable for participants who have comfortably completed Stage #4 (and are able to hold themselves upside down without hands). Even if you are still working on mastering Stage #4 moves, you are welcome to participate to see what is next in your pole learning process. This new stage will introduce participants to exciting new inverts such as Starfish, Cupid and the Spinning Chopper plus more. NOTE: This class will require participants share poles, and assist other participants with inverted moves.
Skill Improvement Class: This class is perfect for participants who have already taken a minimum of Stage #1 pole dancing at ClubMynx, and may not yet be ready to move forward into a future stage, but want to keep improving their pole skills already learned.
NEW Choreography Class: Mastered a few pole moves, but now want to improve your dancing abilities? This class is an awesome opportunity for anyone who has already taken a minimum of Stage #1 pole dancing at ClubMynx, and wants to learn a few new dance routines. This 6-week class will focus on teaching 2 new choreographed pole routines, and then participants will focus on developing their own personalize routine for fun and fitness.
Please note: We accept women of all shapes and sizes. The only limitation that we have is that the poles are only guaranteed to withstand a person up to 200 pounds. Safety is our #1 concern, so we ask that new participants consider those guidelines.
